11 September 2024 - 2nd Airport Day

I've arrived safe and sound in Barcelona. The second leg of my journey from Dallas to Madrid also arrived early - 34 minutes this time.  Plus, it was a really quiet flight and not much turbulence.  I really lucked out. Of the 4 center seats, I was on one end and one other guy was in the other aisle seat. This meant I had 2 seats to try to curl up and sleep. I woke up on and off, but I feel rested.

My 3rd leg from Madrid to Barcelona was in a small, loud plane, but it took less than 1 hour and arrived 4 minutes early.

I took the shuttle to Terminal 2 after wandering around Terminal 1 a bit, realizing I was in the wrong place despite being told I was where I needed to be. I am now sitting outside on a bench for another couple hours, waiting for the bus that will take me to Lyon.

The bus has arrived!

Lots of up and downs. One major down before entering Lauzerte.  Glad it wasn't raining or slippery. Staying in one of my top gites - hope it lives up to my memory.  Entering Moncuq after leaving gite. The tower is the only remnant of the medieval fortress. Touching the butt brings good luck.
