NARRATIVE:  Today was a tough day. It started out well, but by 3km, all of a sudden I had an excruciating pain in my side. It came out of no where.  I undid all my belts and grinned and bore it the remaining 6km to Aumont. I checked to see if I could grab a bus or taxi to the next town but ended up just walking the road instead of the path. I already knew it was a killer downhill and since every uneven step killed, I knew I'd never make it. I found a bed in St Chely... unfortunately,  no internet.  I went to the tourist office until they closed and am now sitting outside a Cafe, waiting for the boss to arrive to turn the wifi on. A small step back in time... 
Tomorrow,  I have reserved a seat on the bus that goes to St Combe d'Olt at 9:55. It's another killer downhill that I don't dare attempt.  It's only a 15 minute ride, so if I feel ok, I'll start walking again.

    I hope the pain on your side goes away and you find internet. Sad that we depend on it so much for our daily lives.

Lots of up and downs. One major down before entering Lauzerte.  Glad it wasn't raining or slippery. Staying in one of my top gites - hope it lives up to my memory.  Entering Moncuq after leaving gite. The tower is the only remnant of the medieval fortress. Touching the butt brings good luck. Looking back at Moncuq Season is over Cute village Don't think I'd name my gite this. Not as fun as it looks. There were several sections like this. Sad sunflow...
