NARRATIVE:  Made it to Aumont Aubrac. Only 16 km today. Before I left this a.m., I went to the pharmacy and bought some anti-inflammatory patches for my ribs. Seem to be helping with the pain. The fact that my shoulders started to ache from the weight of my backpack tells me that my ribs are hurting less.
I've already stayed at this gite 2x, but I love how he makes the aligot (cheesy mashed potatoes) in front of us. Really looking forward to dinner tonight.
The route today us up and down, but nothing too extreme. There was one downhill section where I sat on my butt and slid down for a meter or so. I just didn't want to risk slipping. 
Many of the people I've been walking with are already heading home. Kind of sad... 
They are lucky to have the luxury of picking up where they left off, walking for a week or so.

Lots of up and downs. One major down before entering Lauzerte.  Glad it wasn't raining or slippery. Staying in one of my top gites - hope it lives up to my memory.  Entering Moncuq after leaving gite. The tower is the only remnant of the medieval fortress. Touching the butt brings good luck. Looking back at Moncuq Season is over Cute village Don't think I'd name my gite this. Not as fun as it looks. There were several sections like this. Sad sunflow...
