NARRATIVE:  A much better day today. Loved the section that was a dirt path with pine needles. Quite a bit of blacktop, but there is a small gravelly section running along the side. Back is sore, but all else is OK.

Lots of up and downs. One major down before entering Lauzerte.  Glad it wasn't raining or slippery. Staying in one of my top gites - hope it lives up to my memory.  Entering Moncuq after leaving gite. The tower is the only remnant of the medieval fortress. Touching the butt brings good luck.
